SARAH FAHIE

Sarah Fahie is a director and movement director who works in the UK and internationally. She was born in Australia and studied at the University of Melbourne. She went on to train as a dancer at the London Contemporary Dance School. In 2003 she received a Jerwood Foundation Choreography Award. Directing and Associate Directing credits include: 

Giant (Aldeburgh); Rumpelstiltskin (Birmingham Contemporary Music Group); La Damnation de Faust, Falstaff (Glyndebourne). Movement credits include Peter Grimes (La Scala, Milan), Rodelinda and Don Giovanni (English National Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, Theatre Basel), Der Rosenkavalier (Glyndebourne Festival), Don Giovanni (Bergen National Opera), Capriccio (Grange Park Opera), Hänsel und Gretel, Semele and The Skating Rink (Garsington Opera), Aida (Royal Albert Hall), La Traviata and La bohème (Opera Holland Park), The Bartered Bride (Mid Wales Opera), Don Giovanni (Northern Ireland Opera); The Gambler, Il tabarro, Suor Angelica, 4.48 Psychosis,  La bohème, Kát’a Kabanová, 4/4 Frankenstein! & Knoxville: Summer of 1915 (ROH);  and, in theatre, The Trial (Young Vic), Endgame (Old Vic)Sarah’s credits as revival director include Der Rosenkavalier and Falstaff for Glyndebourne; Rumpelstiltskin for Birmingham Contemporary Music Group; and Il tabarro and Suor Angelica for the Royal Opera House.
